What I’m Looking Forward to This Semester
I can’t believe it is already my second semester of college…time has flown by! Winter break was awesome, but I’m excited to get back into the swing of things here at Juilliard.
This semester, I am very excited about learning Missa Brevis (1958) choreographed by Jose Limón. The score was written at the end of World War II and it is a beautiful and moving piece. The freshman class performs it every year, so I look forward to getting to perform such a classic piece of repertory.
I’m also looking forward to Choreographic Workshops in February and April. Workshops are an amazing opportunity to showcase student choreography or dance in another student’s pieces. It is a time where the creativity and artistry at this school becomes so evident, and I look forward to watching, dancing and choreographing for workshop.
Of course I’m looking forward to classes, too! We have some new classes this semester, and I also look forward to building on the knowledge from last semester.
Lastly, I look forward to exploring the NYC! I can’t wait to go to more museums, shows, and explore the boroughs.
Until next time!
