'Tis the Season (for a BREAK)!
It's about that time...the HOLIDAY SEASON! I celebrate Christmas, and it might be my favorite holiday behind Thanksgiving. I'm from New Orleans, so holidays that involve the consuming of food always take the cake (get it?)!
Speaking of New Orleans, I am going home this break, so I can have more gumbo and grandma's home cooking! You already know I'm excited!
Go ahead, TELL me that doesn’t look amazing. And that was from Thanksgiving…
But anyway, there are two more weeks until winter recess, and I could not be more anxious. This is the perfect time where organization is key (see one of my previous blogs). With so many assignments (essays, piano exam, jazz improv solo analysis, fugue writing final, and more…), I’d go crazy if I didn’t have my planner and phone.
At the same time, I’ve learned so much so far this year, inside and outside of the classroom. So if you’re reading this and planning on coming here, be prepared to learn a ton about your art, but more about life and the “real world”.
Have a great holiday season! I know I will!
