Summer is fast approaching! I’m so excited to have some time off to see friends, work on new music, and more! This blog will be about my plans for the summer outside of Juilliard. Some of these plans will be musical and some of them won’t! Stay tuned!
This summer I’m super excited to be giving a recital in my hometown! I have such a supportive group of friends and family members who haven’t heard me sing since I left home for college. This summer I’m am giving a recital the first week I give back to give a taste of what I’ve been working on in my first two years at Juilliard! I couldn’t be more excited for this program!
One of my many non-music hats is my summer job! This will be my second year as a lifeguard and I absolutely love this job! It’s a great way to make some money for my summer trip to Europe and a good way to keep in touch with some friends from home. I love this job and the life-saving skills I’ve learned from this job!
I am lucky enough to go to Germany this summer to study with my voice teacher! I get to be an apprentice at a program where I can coach and work on new music and perform a ton! I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to work on my voice without homework and studying. This will be one of few times where I get to spend all of my time working on MAKING MUSIC!
This summer I am hoping to learn a lot of new music! I love getting work on new stuff and I like that I have the free time to do so in the summer! I am planning to work on some French mélodie, some arias, and some oratorio work. There are still a few projects in-the-works that I might be working on as well while I’m at home!
