Why I Chose Juilliard
At this time a few years ago, I was heavily debating which school I wanted to attend for the next four years of my LIFE. It seemed so daunting at the time, and I empathize with anyone who is going through the same decision right now!
Obviously, I decided on Juilliard in the end. Having never lived in New York before (or even a big city in general, for that matter), I was excited for the opportunity to spend college there. There are so many sights to see and events to experience merely blocks away, and there’s never a dull moment in the city! I’m also challenged in every class and inspired by my fantastic classmates. I’m able to take classes and explore hobbies outside of school, find amazing restaurants on every corner, and celebrate new holidays and cultures. From Broadway shows to baseball games, I’m able to do more in a week in New York than I sometimes do in a year in my hometown! Being a college student in New York is such a privilege, and I’m thankful that I still have time to do so.
(Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow here!)
