And the Livin’ is Easy
Summer is almost here y’all!!!! After a very busy but productive semester I am ready to chill out. I’ve finished my jury and all I have left are exams. Here are some of the things I’m looking forward to:
1. Chillin out, maxin, relaxin all cool
(Hopefully everyone gets the Fresh Prince reference) My favorite part of summer is the beginning when I get to finally chillax after finals week. I love coming home to see my family (and my cat), watching a bunch of movies, and sleeping late. Of course, I don’t keep this up the entire summer, but it’s necessary.
My family has done a lot of traveling around the US, but this summer will be my first time abroad! My family and I are traveling to Germany for a week, and then later in the summer I’m attending Classic Lyric Arts in Italy (along with fellow blogger Ryan!). I’ll have to brush up on some of the Italian that I forgot from first year, but I think I can make it happen
We’ve had a few sunny days in the past few weeks, but for some reason it’s been rather rainy and overcast, and the weather hasn’t really reached above 60. I’m ready for some sunny days!!
And of course, I’m looking forward to learning new rep for my summer program and the following school year. I often perform for retirement homes when I’m on break, and I love bringing new songs and arias to perform for them. For now, though, I’m focusing on finals and packing! Only one more week until I’m back in the south!
