The Most Magical Time of the Year
Spring break always seems to come at the most needed of times. The few months between the end of winter break and the beginning of spring break are (in my humble opinion) the busiest of the year. There’s honestly just too much going on. Auditions, preparations for summer, exams, rehearsals, the weather being unable to make up its mind, it’s all too much. And so, to everyone’s rescue comes spring break.
I’ll be honest, my favorite part of any break is getting to go back home and see my pets. (Of which there are quite a few…) There’s the Emus, the cat, the dog, the horse, the hedgehog, the guinea pig, the gecko, and the rabbit. I live out on an old plantation home further out into the countryside, and so my family ended up filling in all the free space with pets. I’ve included some pictures for your viewing pleasure throughout this blog post.
Besides taking care of a small circus, my family and myself will be taking a quick trip up to Pennsylvania in order to attend the 2017 Pennsylvania Horse Expo. Though personally I’m not really into horses, all the rest of my family members are, and so I end up going along for the ride. Regardless, I’m sure it will be an educational experience. Afterwards we’ll all be spending a few days at a historic resort/hotel named “The Greenbriar.” It’s a beautiful estate out in the Virginia countryside with tennis courts, golf courts, nature trails, art galleries, the whole package. Though overall I will say that the main point of the next two weeks will be to simply unwind from the past few months. This is especially important because we all know that we must all still persevere over the last quarter of the year.
It is with this in mind that I send you all my best wishes for this spring break, so that you can come back feeling refreshed and rested for the last quarter of the year! Take time to breath and enjoy the sun, (when it decides to show its face that is) because I don’t know about you but I have missed the sun… I spent a few days in Florida at the beginning of break and honestly stepping outside took my breath away. So if you get a few good days here and there over break… take advantage! On that note… I’m off to enjoy my own spring break. Have a good time everyone!
