What If?

What If?

As I promised last week, in this post I will share some recent thoughts about facing the uncertain future. As all of you in the last year of high school/college/graduate school/et& programs, I too am in the process of going through the application and audition process, weighing choices, stressing out about how the auditions will go and thinking pretty much all the time WHAT IF I don’t get accepted to the places where I really want to be. What would I do?

Over the past few weeks I read a ton of success stories, listened to people who made it big and now are really well off, met people who with hard work and dedication achieved their dreams and were willing to share their honest story. Well, guess what… In almost all the stories, in 95% of them at least I found a common theme which is exactly this “what if” scenario kicking in.

Life plays tricks on us sometimes that might hurt a little at first but one can never see the full outcome until later sometimes much later. And that outcome just might be the best thing that could have happened. From the many examples I have seen it appeared pretty obvious that obstacles and unexpected changes in the course of people's lives just trigger creativity and unleash hidden talents to make the best of any situation. I am of course just as excited as you are to pass my auditions and I am very excited for you as well, to get accepted to Juilliard. Whatever happens over the next few weeks, keep your heads up, enjoy yourselves during the process and make the best of whatever happens next!

Until next time,
