Top 5 Hang Out Spots on Campus
5. Grand Staircase
If you’ve ever visited Juilliard, the first thing you’ll notice is the Grand Staircase. Although, hiking up the steep steps is not so great in the morning on the way to class, it’s a peaceful place to have lunch, people watch and see and be seen by the Lincoln Center Community.
4. Rose Walk
If weather permits, you can walk right outside the first floor and get some fresh air on the Rose Walk. This walkway connects Juilliard to the Rose Building and Lincoln Center. Soak up some sun when its warm and catch your friends as they walk to class!
3. Illumination Lawn
2. Broadway Facade
Head up to the fifth floor to take a break and look down on hundreds of New Yorkers walking down Broadway. The quietest space on campus, and my favorite place to read. A great spot to catch the first snowfall of the winter!
1. Morse Student Lounge
The hub of the school, the Morse Student Lounge is always filled with students from all divisions. This is the perfect spot for commuting students to have lunch, take a nap or see what’s going on at school. Home of the Office of Student Affairs and Office of Admissions. It’s also stocked with games, books, magazines, a television, computers, and comfortable sofas!
Though, Juilliard can be overwhelming, you’re never too far away from a place to hang out with friends, or find some peace.
